Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Aaron Muncie has been in the roofing industry since 2008. Aaron started in construction as a temporary job, but it soon became a purposeful career path. He eventually realized he wanted to make roofing his career and has moved from labor positions to project management, department management, and estimating. For his entire career, Aaron has made a point to work at family-owned businesses because he enjoys the work culture and atmosphere.
Aaron’s Current Role
Aaron became a service estimator at Maxwell Roofing & Sheet Metal in 2021. He works on-site, inspecting a building’s roof system to uncover deficiencies and diagnose any roof-related problems that may be occurring. He uses that information to create a plan to fix or improve the roof. He then provides clients with a scope of work and price estimate for the job.
Aaron works with a team of six other estimators and a group of technicians that help cover Maxwell’s service area.
“I have so many different types of clients, from small businesses to corporations,” he says. “I love getting to meet people from all walks of life on the job.”
Why He Chose Maxwell Roofing & Sheet Metal
When Aaron applied to work at Maxwell, he looked up the customer reviews to decide if he wanted to work there.
“A company’s customers will tell you a lot about a company and how they would treat you as an employee,” he says.
Aaron says his strategy paid off and that Maxwell’s excellent customer reviews have translated to his experience with Maxwell. He says the family-owned business creates a friendly atmosphere at the company.
“Employees at Maxwell really care about what they do here,” he says. “You can see the passion in people’s work.”
Aaron’s Life at Home
Outside of work, Aaron is raising three children and caring for a dog and a cat. He loves eating Italian food at his favorite restaurant, Maggiano’s, and playing the guitar. Aaron makes it a priority to get outside and play sports. He spends a large portion of every week at the baseball field watching his son play. He is currently pursuing certification as a Registered Roof Observer/Registered Roof Consultant.
